കവിത ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ
കലാ നിരൂപക, കവി, സമകാലീന കലാ ഗവേഷക, ചിത്രകാരി, ആർട്ട് ക്യൂറേറ്റർ എന്നി നിലയിൽ പ്രശസ്തയാണ് കവിത ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ (മലയാളം: ജനനം: ജൂൺ 1, 1976). 1998 മുതൽ 1999 വരെ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് ഫൈൻ ആർട്സ് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് കലാചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ ലക്ചററായി അദ്ധ്യാപന ജീവിതം ആരംഭിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് R.L.V.തൃപ്പൂണിത്തറയിലെ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് മ്യൂസിക് ആൻഡ് ഫൈൻ ആർട്സ്, മുംബൈയിലെ നാഷണൽ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഫാഷൻ ടെക്നോളജിയിൽ (നിഫ്റ്റ്) വിസിറ്റിംഗ് ഫാക്കൽറ്റി. കവിത ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ നിലവിൽ കലാചരിത്രത്തിലും സൗന്ദര്യശാസ്ത്രത്തിലും ലക്ചററാണ് .
അക്കാഡമിക് ജീവിതം
1998 ൽ ബറോഡയിലെ മഹാരാജ സയജിറാവു സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് കവിത ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ ഫൈൻ ആർട്ട് ഹിസ്റ്ററി, സൗന്ദര്യശാസ്ത്രം എന്നിവയിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം നേടി. തുടർന്ന് മലയാള ആനുകാലികങ്ങളിൽ സാഹിത്യത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള ചിത്രീകരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു ഗവേഷണ പ്രബന്ധം തയ്യാറാക്കി. 2009 ൽ കോട്ടയം മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി സർവകലാശാല പിഎച്ച്ഡി നേടി.
അവാർഡുകൾ
ഉക്രെയ്ൻ (മുൻ സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയൻ) കരിങ്കടലിന്റെ ക്രിമിയൻ തീരത്ത് ആർടെക്കിന്റെ (ക്യാമ്പ്) ഇന്റർ നാഷണൽ യംഗ് പയനിയർ ക്യാമ്പിൽ വേനൽക്കാലം ചെലവഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ 13-ം വയസ്സിൽ ചിത്രകലയ്ക്കുള്ള സോവിയറ്റ് ലാൻഡ് നെഹ്രു അവാർഡ് കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.
മലയാളത്തിലെ കലയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മികച്ച പുസ്തകത്തിനുള്ള സംസ്ഥാനഅവാർഡ് ചിത്രകലയുടെ വർത്തമാനം എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന് ലളിതകല അക്കാദമിയിൽ നിന്ന് 2007 ൽ ലഭിച്ചു. 2005 ൽ എസ്.ബി.ടി സാഹിത്യപുരാസ്‌കരവും 2007-ൽ കവിതയ്‌ക്കായി അയ്യപ്പൻ പുരസ്‌കാരവും ലഭിച്ചു.
