The bubbly Malayali girl Parvathy Jayaram , featured in about 60 films during the 80’s and 90’s is back to the limelight –this time as a danseuse. Parvathy Jayaram made her solo Mohiniyattam performance in the opening night of the week-long Nishagandhi Festival, being organised by Kerala Tourism at Trivandrum. Offering seven fabulous evenings of music and dance, the 2013 edition of the Nishagandhi Festival kick started on January 20. Parvathy’s Mohiniyattam recital titled ‘Devi Kadaksham’ was choreographed by her guru Kalamandalam Kshemavathy. Actress turned classical dancer Parvathy, started her journey into the vibrant world of dance right from the tender age of six. Parvathy’s most memorable works in the film industry include Amrutham Gamaya, Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam and Kireedam among others.
