A programme ‘Nanma’ is set to be launched by the district unit of Kudumbasree in Kozhikode to ascertain 100 percent enrolment of women from all families. The programme organized as a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission will be inaugurated by Minister for Social Welfare M.K. Muneer on November 24.
A survey will be conducted by Kudumbasree in all wards to determine the number of families left off from the mission at present. They will be brought under the roof of Kudumbasree either as part of the existing units or by forming new neighbourhood groups. The plan is to set up at least 3,000 new groups in the Kozhikode district. In the course of this programme nearly 42,000 families will be offered membership. Resource groups will be formed at the district and the Community Development Society level. A special project will be devised to engage people from coastal areas and those from the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes in the Kudumbasree activities
